Our Story
Founder Story
Heritage Horsepower was founded on a lifetime inside the automotive world — not around it.
I’ve spent more than 20 years in the automotive industry, selling new and used vehicles and ultimately rising to the role of Dealer Principal of a Ford dealership. That career gave me deep, hands-on experience in vehicle valuation, negotiation, customer trust, and what separates a good vehicle from an expensive mistake.
Alongside my dealership career, I built and operated New Zealand’s No.1 and longest-running Freestyle Motocross (FMX) company, producing live motorsport shows for more than 14 years. From A&P shows and car events to monster truck shows, that business sharpened my understanding of motorsport culture, logistics, promotion, and delivering high-value experiences to demanding audiences.
These two worlds — automotive leadership and motorsport entertainment — shaped Heritage Horsepower.
I’m a lifelong enthusiast of Ford history, American muscle cars, classic vehicles, and motorbikes, and I regularly travel to the United States to immerse myself in the heritage of Detroit and the wider American automotive landscape. From historic Ford sites and private collections to auctions, restorers, and motorsport events, I’ve built trusted relationships that most enthusiasts simply don’t have access to.
